With a mix of education, personal twists, and hard facts, I aim to engage with my audience while making a compelling argument for embracing positive change.  Wellness is not a destination but instead a lifelong journey.  We are always growing, and our bodies are continually changing. 

The beauty of it all is that we have the ability to choose our landscape, and the level of quality in our lives. 

Fighting against many obstacles throughout my life, just like so many of you, I still managed to carve out an existence I adore, phenomenal health, and a job that I would do for free (in a perfect world of course!) - that is how much I love it!  

​Frankly, perspective is everything. 
It all begins with honouring our bodies and feeding our soul.  Nourishing, and taking care of the beautiful vessel that houses YOU is one of the critical keys to health and longevity.    It is the stepping stone to happiness.  Nutrients balance mood, effect productivity, motivation, clarity, and so many other things that I could go on about for hours!   The point is, we cannot understate the importance of the need for positive change and to never stop strive for the amazing life we all deserve.

Mental Health, Addictions & Emotional Eating

Lynnel works with non-profit organizations, and the community as an educator, and guest speaker.   Her work includes ongoing work with the the Chopra Addictions & Wellness Center providing support and holistic based nutritional guidance to guests recovering from stress, anxiety, depression, and a range of additions. 

Whether you are a community outreach center, addictions recovery center, addictions counseling office, or mental health organization, Lynnel's expertise in the area of nutritional support and lifestyle modifications for addictions recovery, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and autism can provide life changing recommendations, seminars, and info sessions to help you help your clients even more.  The role of nutrition in mental health and recovery cannot be understated.  Over the last few years we are finally starting to recognize how profound the critical link is between nutrients, deficiencies and our overall mental state.

​Psychotropic medications in both children and adults is skyrocketing at an alarming rate prompting a closer look at what is really going on. 

Did you know that a deficiency in certain B vitamins can cause symptoms which mimic schizophrenia while an excess of others can trigger anxiety?   Or that many children 'diagnosed' with ADHD are needlessly being medicated causing permanent damage we cannot even predict when often a change in diet and reduction in dyes, additives and preservatives can alleviate symptoms?  We live in a fast food nation eating a diet not only void of nutrients, but that also depletes vitamins and minerals from our bodies.   ...And we wonder why we are in the mist of a health crisis.

The conventional system's answer:  "Don't worry...there is a pill for that!".    It is time to stop treating the symptoms, and give credence to the root of the problem which includes addressing nutrient status.   

Simply put, you cannot fix a part and expect to fix the whole. 

Nutrition For Addictions Recovery

Nutrition for addictions recovery is largely overlooked in mainstream centers and recovery protocol in general.  Mind/body/spirit focused centers like Chopra are paving the way for a new, more effective way to support recovery.   Relapse rates can be reduced by helping to naturally balance the brain chemicals effected by drug use.  It can often take a year or longer for someone to even begin to feel 'normal' again - in that year for many, the need to feel 'better' out-ways the resolve to stick it out.  The result?  Relapse.   Supporting the balance of brain chemicals nutritionally can add a much needed army to the battlefield.    Learn More HERE.
